Aims
The aim of the Committee is to promote and support the initiation and furtherance of HRD programmes within cooperatives and cooperative organizations at global, regional, national and local levels, so as to enhance their social and economic effectiveness.

Structure,
The members of the HRD Committee are persons responsible for and actively involved in cooperative HRD activities, The Committee may also decide to invite non-ICA frameworks actively involved in cooperative HRD to become institutional members, In general, observers both from ICA members and non-member organizations may be invited to participate in the HRD committee meetings and/or activities. International organizations engaged on an on-going basis in cooperative HRD related activities such as International Labour Office (ILO), Food and Agricultural Organization, Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives COPAC, etc., shall be asked to send observers to relevant HRD Committee meetings activities.
